Man Charged in Stabbing Near Brighton Music Venue: What You Need to Know
A Boston man is facing charges for stabbing another man outside of a Brighton music hall earlier this month, officials announced Wednesday. Collin Hullum, 36, accused of stabbing a man multiple times after a concert, was arraigned Tuesday and is being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing Friday, Suffolk County District Attorney Kevin Hayden said in a statement.

At 2:34 a.m. on Dec. 1, Boston police responded to Roadrunner at 89 Guest St. for a report of a stabbing. At the scene, Boston EMS reportedly treated a 26-year-old victim for five stab wounds on his back area. Authorities said a verbal argument between the victim’s group and three unidentified men inside the foyer of the Warrior Ice Arena at 90 Guest St. can be seen on a surveillance video. One of the men, later identified as Hullum, allegedly struck the victim before the victim fled while appearing to clutch his back.

Authorities also found a TikTok video of Hullum seen holding a knife, according to prosecutors. Witnesses said the fight started because Hullum’s sister cut the line at a bar and was confronted, the district attorney’s office said. She allegedly told Hullum she was assaulted. The surveillance video shows Hullum walking to his car after the stabbing and driving away at 2:46 a.m, prosecutors said.
Legal Proceedings and Charges
Hullum was charged with assault to kill and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury. He was ordered held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing on Dec. 20. A second person, who was also seen carrying a knife during the fight, allegedly tried to stab two other people while inside the foyer of the Warrior Ice Arena. That person will be charged at a later time, authorities said. Before he was stabbed, the victim appeared to try to break up the altercation, prosecutors said.
