The peaceful town of Bedford, New Hampshire was shaken early Saturday morning as a Nashua man resisted arrest and ended up shooting a police officer in the leg. The incident unfolded near the Country Inn & Suites on South River Road, where officers approached a parked vehicle just before 1 a.m.

Masseur now faces a slew of charges, including resisting arrest, felon in possession of a dangerous weapon, attempting to take a firearm from an officer, and second-degree assault. He also had outstanding warrants related to possession of a dangerous weapon and drug possession. The injured officer was promptly taken to a nearby hospital in Manchester for treatment and was released the following day.
