ex-emmanuel-admissions-official-approached-13-year-old-for-fun

Jacob Henriques got himself in some serious trouble last week. This guy, a former assistant admissions director at Emmanuel College, allegedly thought it was a good idea to offer a 17-year-old prospective student some cash in exchange for sex. Like, seriously dude?

The 29-year-old Henriques from Boston was arrested recently and hit with a charge of attempted sex trafficking of a minor. Prosecutors claim that he misused his position to get personal info on the 17-year-old and then made his indecent offer after she checked out Emmanuel College. The school wasted no time in firing him, and he had to face the music in U.S. District Court in Boston, where a judge decided to keep him locked up until further hearings on Wednesday. Ouch.

But wait, there’s more. It turns out that Henriques didn’t stop at just the 17-year-old. Nope, he apparently tried to pull the same stunt on a 13-year-old girl from Western Massachusetts. According to court documents, he slid into her Instagram DMs asking if she was “down to have fun” and offering to “pay tonight.” This all went down on April 20, and the FBI caught wind of it on April 22. What a creep.

Not really sure why this matters, but Henriques’ lawyer, Monica Shah, hasn’t said a peep about the whole situation. Meanwhile, prosecutors are claiming that he met with multiple other students on April 25 and offered to pay four of them for some “fun.” And get this, he even offered to show them some porn. Classy.

When it comes to the 17-year-old, Henriques apparently went the extra mile. He snooped around her personal info right before giving her a tour of Emmanuel, then started texting her right after the tour ended. The nerve of this guy. And get this, he didn’t even have the decency to tell her how he got her number. Smooth move, buddy.

He bombarded the poor girl with porn videos, asked her if she wanted to hook up, and kept bothering her through email even after she blocked his number. Between April 25 and 28, he apparently couldn’t get enough of checking out her profile in the Emmanuel system. Like, seriously dude, take a hint.

So, yeah, Jacob Henriques really messed up big time. Let’s hope this serves as a lesson to anyone else thinking about pulling a stunt like this. Stay safe out there, folks.
