man-caught-on-video-smashing-car-with-hatchet-in-brighton-boston-sought-by-police

A man, apparently fueled by road rage, decided to take matters into his own hands and assaulted another driver by smashing their car’s windows with a hatchet. Boston police are now on the lookout for this suspect, who was caught on video committing this violent act. The incident took place near 1032 Commonwealth Ave. in Brighton, just before midnight on a Friday night.

The suspect is described as a white male, around 25 years old, with a slight build, brown medium-length hair, and a short beard. He was wearing a white T-shirt with a plain front and lettering on the back, along with blue jeans and brown sneakers. The suspect allegedly caused the victim to crash after chasing them at high speeds in his gray pickup truck, which was also captured in a picture released by the police. After the crash, he got out of the truck with a hatchet, attacked the victim, and proceeded to vandalize their vehicle by smashing the windows and windshield. The whole ordeal was even caught on video by the police. The suspect then fled the scene on Babcock Street towards Brookline.

Boston police detectives are actively investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward. They can be reached at (617) 343-4256. Alternatively, community members can provide anonymous tips through the CrimeStoppers tip line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS or texting “TIP” to CRIME (27463).

Not really sure why this matters, but it seems like road rage incidents are getting more and more out of hand these days. Maybe it’s just me, but it’s pretty alarming to think about how quickly things can escalate on the road. Let’s hope the police catch this guy soon before he causes any more harm. Stay safe out there, folks!
