A young man named Josiah Henshaw, 24, from Templeton, Massachusetts, is currently facing serious charges after intentionally hitting a police officer with his car in Sterling. The officer, identified as Connor Sullivan, was working a traffic detail on Route 140 near Burpee Road when the incident occurred.
According to Sterling police, Officer Sullivan was overseeing traffic as the Sterling Light Department conducted work along the roadway. He noticed a car approaching at a high speed and decided to stop the driver, later identified as Josiah Henshaw. After issuing a warning about the speeding violation, Officer Sullivan allowed Henshaw to continue driving.
However, in a shocking turn of events, Henshaw abruptly turned his vehicle and accelerated towards Officer Sullivan, striking him and causing him to land on the hood of the car.
