So, apparently, Massachusetts residents who get SNAP benefits can’t swipe their EBT cards for food or cash from Saturday night to mid-day Sunday. Not sure why this is happening, but it seems like system updates are to blame. The Department of Transitional Assistance will be posting updates during this downtime, and EBT cards will go back to normal after the switch to a new vendor. No need to freak out or get a new card, just chill and wait it out.
