turtle-vs-golf-ball-cape-showdown-winner-revealed

A painted turtle is making a comeback after getting smacked by a golf ball at a golf course on Cape Cod. The poor turtle is now under the care of the Cape Wildlife Center and seems to be doing pretty well, all things considered. The center believes that the golf ball caused a crack in the turtle’s shell, leading to some serious turtle drama.

The turtle, who calls one of the course’s water features home, was found with what the Cape Wildlife Center described as “an unmistakable divot” on its shell. The center’s staff quickly determined that the turtle had been struck by a golf ball, based on the evidence at hand. They even went as far as to attribute the crater in the shell directly to the golf ball. Ouch.

Despite the unfortunate encounter with the golf ball, the turtle is still able to move around and function normally. X-rays revealed that the ball narrowly missed hitting the turtle’s spine and vital organs by just centimeters. Talk about a close call! The Cape Wildlife Center is closely monitoring the turtle’s health to ensure that there are no complications that could affect its chances of survival in the wild. Once the turtle gets the green light, it’s back to the golf course for him, where he’s expected to be back in his element in no time.
